Two of us have hit Brighton for this year's Flash on the Beach conference! We'll be doing a few short roundups of the talks we've seen over the three days. There's loads of great speakers, so I hope we've picked the right ones to see!

It was lights, camera, action earlier today as we put together some video elements for a forthcoming Flash app. After a special "Hand Idol" competition throughout the office, Shona and Tom were chosen as our models and both thoroughly enjoyed their preshoot manicure.
For a limited period the BBC News Website is experimenting with clickable links within the body of news stories. If you click on one of these links, a window will appear containing background material relevant to the highlighted word. Content is being pulled in from sites like YouTube, Flickr and Wikipedia and it seems to be done pretty well.
There's a new version of DestroyFlickr, an Adobe Air ap for browsing, uploading and downloading Flickr photos. It's pretty sweet, give it a go!
