Play With Spider
I just came accross this very well executed Flash simulation of a spider. You can drag it around, change its size, etc. Click here to check it out.

While undertaking some late night internet browsing I came across an interesting jQuery plugin called jParallax.
The plugin's website describes it best.
"Parallax turns a selected element into a 'window', or viewport, and all its children into absolutely positioned layers that can be seen through the viewport. These layers move in response to the mouse, and, depending on their dimensions (and options for layer initialisation), they move by different amounts, in a parallaxy kind of way."
Seeing is definately believing with this plugin, so head on over to their website and see it in action.
I stumbled upon a very interesting flash game called Coign of Vantage the other day. It makes very interesting use of 3D and perspective to creative quite an addictive game.
The company behind the animation for the recent Grand Theft Auto game have developed a new system which has overleapt a long-standing barrier known as 'uncanny valley' - refering to the perception that animation looks less realistic as it approaches human likeness.
Another Flash 3D engine with some impressive demo's and some equally impressive frame rates. Certainly the most complex 3D environments I have seen in Flash so far.
One thing to note is that it is only free for non-commercial projects, you can download the compiled class libraries if you register for free.
