Have a look at this video of Sony's EyePet, (skip to about 1:00 to see it in action). It's a kind of virtual pet using the Playstation camera, but the level of interaction is amazing. You can even draw toys for it, which appear in the game.

This fluid dynamics simulator written in javascript is a great way of testing the performance of the latest browsers. Safari 4 (released on Monday) and Google Chrome are the fastest at the moment - with Firefox 3 trailing a long way behind. However, Firefox 3.5 will have a new javascript engine (then beta does show a performance improvement).

Following the online success of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign much was made of the potential impact of online electioneering and in particular social networks here in the UK. So following the results of the European elections I’ve taken a look at how the 6 parties with the largest share of the vote in England compare across the two most talked about social networks of the moment; Facebook and Twitter.
Flash uses an XML file to define all the possible character ranges for embedded fonts and uses them to create the "Character Embedding..." list for dynamic TextFields in the IDE.
If you have ever tried to use a non-breaking space in a Flash textfield, you will of come across a pesky little issue - the non-breaking space character is not included in any of the unicode ranges used by Flash for character embedding.
